We made it to Friday! I love wearing fun-ner pieces to work on Fridays! The feeling is right and there are positive vibrations all around the office (donuts, etc 😉 ) Usually I will have something fun planned to do straight after work also, so in the morning I keep in mind I need to dress not just for work but after-work appropriate also ;D
Have you heard about the fringe trend going around? It is usually strongest around festival season but could last to winter ponchos also. This is fun, girly, shirt and is PERFECT for the day after you go to an All-you-can-eat sushi restaurant!!! XD. Also Northern California got real lucky with some beautiful Friday & weekend weather! –
Shirt – Caslon Fringed Lace & Knit Tee in size XXSP // Love this shirt. Love the intricate cut-out patterned detail and fringe texture. The shirt also comes in 4 colors! Thinking of getting the Navy color next. Also, LOVEEEE Nordstrom for offering petite-sizes in the Caslon brand! – Caslon Fringed-Lace Knit Tee
On the model –
Jeans – Big Star Denim Ava Super Skinny in 24P
Shoes – Fly London Cade Pump in color Luna Leather, Size 35 – Comfy block heeled pumps with a classic T-strap buckle and scallop details! Love! Really wanted them in the blue leather color, but they did not have my size! Love the metallic touch of Luna though! – Fly London Cade Pump
Purse / Bag – Ted Baker London Entangled Enchantment Clutch – Not too big, not too small. Love the (optional) 21 ½” crossbody strap drop which works well for even my height! Very spring and summer. Holds a decent amount of stuff as well! Got this clutch for when I was a bridesmaid for a wedding in April! Love the floral print and gold bow hardware! – Ted Baker London Entangled Enchantment Evening Bag
Happy Tuesday !!
Following the denim-to-work theme for this Tuesday! Today I wore a most comfortable button-up denim shirt and my beloved leggings (but they’re totally work-appropriate, ok??) See ?? –
I love taking a backpack to work. It is soon convenient! Mine is a mini black leather backpack and it is very versatile, meaning it also goes hiking with me on weekends. It is my little adventure buddy, as well as my professional sidekick. Definitely recommend getting a take-anywhere little backpack. They are comfortable, convenient, and both your hands are free. This one I own is also very durable, I have had it since December and it has gone with me EVERYwhere. Hiking, to walking miles in the city, as well as to work 5x a week (with the exception of yesterday :p ). Also – You can totally customize your backpack with pins! I have 2 on mine already, and plan on adding more as sentimental pins come into my life!!
My shoes are ankle-strap black suede pumps with just the right amount of height with a block heel. Very comfortable, and no need to worry about your heel slipping out (we all know…).

Does your office require business-formal (no jeans) or business-casual? Or maybe uniform? Maybe just casual (*cough* Google *cough*)? My 8-5 allows a pretty lax dress code – just no ripped denim, spaghetti straps, etc (pretty standard).
Standing 5 feet tall, it can be very hard to find jeans that fit well (especially length-wise), as well as tops that don’t overpower my small frame and don’t hide my figure completely.
I like to splurge a bit on “work jeans”, made of higher quality denim so they look good longer and can withstand the washer. As we all know, designer denim can be especially tricky because they are sewn for taller girls and rarely come in petite sizes.
I feel I scored big time with these that I opted for this Monday morning –
On the model online –
Jeans – DL1961 Florence Instasculpt Crop Skinny Jeans in Powerhouse wash in size 24.
Since they are the “crop” cut the inseam is [only] 25.5″. My inseam is 26″ for skinny jeans to fit me juuuust rightt. Anything shorter than this I am happy to find! The denim is very soft and the fit is tight all the right places, but not too tight (like, say, my Abercrombie & Fitch jeggings). They are very work-appropriate and I love them! Though they were on the pricier side, I jumped at purchasing these after I was wowed by the fact designer denim was sitting above my ankles and not dragging on the floor once properly on. 🙂
Gray top – Madewell (past season)
Shoes / heels – Nina Originals “Francie” pump
Purse / bag – Marc Jacobs ‘Recruit’ Leather Crossbody Bag
